The Craythorne’s Golf shop is run by professional Steve Hadfield who has been a fully qualified PGA member for more than 25 years. During this time Steve has taught many complete beginners of all ages, some of whom have gone on to represent England and become golf professionals themselves.

Steve offers a variety of lessons at The Craythorne. He can give private lessons on the range where all parts of the swing technique are taught. For the short game it is possible to have lessons on the short game facility area which comprises of a putting green, bunker and chipping greens. These lessons are from 30 minutes to an hour. Why not then go on to have a 9 hole playing lesson where Steve will teach you the importance of course management and etiquette to help you improve your scores.

An ideal way to start your golf is through group coaching. Classes are for 1hour 30mins over a period of 6 weeks. Learn the basics and fundamentals of the swing in a friendly atmosphere. Places are limited to a maximum of 12 only. Clubs are not a necessary requirement as these can be hired for both the golf course or the driving range. Junior Coaching

Since obtaining Sport England Golf Mark status, our junior section has dramatically increased in numbers. Steve offers coaching to children of all ages. These are from £2 per week over a period of 10 weeks at a time.

The Craythorne has a professional shop that is well stocked with golf equipment and accessories from many of the well known brand names. The prices are competitive partly due to Steve being a member of the Alliance Golf Group, a buying group consisting of over 200 PGA professionals. It is also possible to purchase gift vouchers to spend on lessons both on the range and course, or on goods from the shop.

Junior clubs are also available. These can be purchased individually or in sets and are customised into different lengths and age groups.
