The Craythorne’s Golf Shop is run by resident Golf Professional Steve Hadfield, who has been a fully qualified member of the PGA for 30 years. In that time he has gained vast knowledge and experience in all aspects of golf. Steve has coached many people of all ages and abilities, some of whom have gone on to represent England and become golf professionals themselves. Junior coaching is very important at The Craythorne with continued links to Sport England. Sport England is a government agency responsible for building the foundations of sporting success, by creating a world-leading community sport system of clubs, coaches, facilities and volunteers. We are proud to retain our GOLFMARK status. A national scheme that identifies and recognizes junior and beginner friendly golf facilities. Over the years our Junior Section has dramatically increased in numbers. The main coaching program for developing juniors are our group lessons which run for a 10 week period at the weekends, from £2.50 per week. These courses are available in January, April and September. Steve also teaches local schools throughout April, May, June and July. The retail side is becoming more and more aggressive therefore we have joined the ‘Foremost buying group’ which consists of over 1000 golf professionals all buying together, this allows us to keep our prices competitive, good stock levels and availability to all brands. Helpful and friendly advice is always on hand at The Craythorne and our 1st class after sales service remains paramount.
