| Our new Head Professional John Cheetham is building a strong Junior Academy at The Craythorne. John runs weekly coaching sessions for juniors aged 5 - 17 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday throughout term time. John coaches in small groups and it is £36 per child for a 6 week course. The Junior Academy now has over 25 members and John, with exciting programmes planned for the year, wants to push this number upto 50 in 2012.
In the holidays John runs junior tuition camps and competitions on the course for members and non members. John is also a Staffordshire County Academy Coach and is ideally placed to recognise and nuture junior talent. All coaching sessions are fun, safe and teach the juniors all aspects of the golf game allowing them to get out on the golf course as soon as possible. We have recently had the Sport England Clubmark for juniors successfully renewed and were the first club in the Midlands to get the award. This shows the great commitment we have to junior golf at The Craythorne.
